FIELD: packing processes and devices. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method packing container is enclosed by shaping device whose parts are shifted towards each other so that free space packing container is compressed for a short period. Part of packing material are pressed into grooves of shaping device. Device implementing proposed method is provided with shaping device with movable shaping parts. These parts form, in closed position, a shaping space whose volume is equal to 100-110% of theoretical minimum volume of handled packing container. EFFECT: provision of packing container featuring increased rigidly and stability. 10 cl, 6 dwg
