SLIDING SUPPORT FOR BELT CONVEYOR LOADING DEVICES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: materials handling facilities; belt conveyor. SUBSTANCE: sliding support for conveyor loading devices has flexible support base reinforced by low-friction material and located under conveyor carrying run. Support base is made up of number of longitudinal modules distributed along belt width. Each module has pair of cables with rigidly secured support blocks mounted lengthwise the cables and separated from one another by spacer bushings. Ends of cables are secured in conveyor frame crossmembers by means of spring-and-screw tensioning devices. Support blocks are split in plane of their fastening on cables and are provided with tightening screws getting into threaded sockets of replaceable metal plates mounted on block surfaces pointed to belt and lined with layer of low-friction material. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced dynamic action of loaded material on conveyor belt, improved reliability of sliding support. 4 dwg
