CONVEYOR BELT IDLE RUN SLIDING SUPPORT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: sliding support has supports base lined with low-friction material and arranged under idle run of conveyor belt across its longitudinal axis. Support base is made in form of units-modules fitted on cables stretched across conveyor belt and including rectangular frames with fitted-in replaceable bushing-like support members made of low-friction material and placed in power contact with support surface of belt. Ends of stretched cables are secured in conveyor frame posts by means of tensioners. Units-modules are separated from each other and from conveyor frame posts by distance bushings. Sliding support plays the part of belt cleaning device, in addition to its main function as support. EFFECT: improved reliability of sliding support, simplified design. 6 dwg
