FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed conveyor consists of endless belt closed on drive and tension drums whose load-carrying run rests on trough roller supports secured on conveyor frame, load-type tensioning device with car, catcher including two steel wire ropes freely fitted in gaps between central and side rollers of trough roller supports. One end of each wire rope is fastened on frame of drive drum, and other end, on drum installed for rotation on tensioning device car. Lengths wire ropes wound of drums are not less than maximum length of travel of tensioning device car. Said wire ropes are fixed in paired clamps of levers hinge-secured on bases of roller supports from side of drive drum or on conveyor frame. Levers are installed for turning to side of belt and for interacting with stops when being turned in opposite direction. Clamps are interconnected and connected with levers by bracing bolts.
EFFECT: improved reliability of catching of broken belt, minimized back travel of broken belt.
