FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention describes novel dithiolane derivatives of the general formula (I): where one of m and n means 0 and other mean 0, 1 or 2; k means 0 or the whole number from 1 to 12; R1 means hydrogen atom, one of substituents of α defined below or optionally substituted alkyl-group; A means the group -CON(R2)SO2- where R2 means hydrogen atom, alkyl, aralkyl or one of substituents of α; B means a single bond or the group of the formula -N(R5)- or -N(R6)N(R5)- where R5 and R6 are similar or distinct and each means hydrogen atom, alkyl-group; or R5 in common with R1 and nitrogen atom to which they are bound can form heterocyclic ring containing from 5 to 7 atoms in cycle; or R1 can mean the group of the formula -OR7 where R7 means alkyl or one of substituents of α. Indicated substituents of α are taken among aryl-groups and heterocyclic groups, and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Compounds show excellent ability to enhance activity of glutathione reductase and they can be used for treatment and prophylaxis of development of different diseases including cataract.
