FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention describes dithiolane derivatives of the formula (I) where one value of m and n = 0 and another = 0, 1; k = 0 or the whole number from 1 to 12; R1 means hydrogen atom, one of substituents α defined below or alkyl-group containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms that is unsubstituted or substituted with substituents α and/or substituents γ in the amount from 1 to 3 or unsubstituted or substituted alkyl-group where carbon chain is broken by oxygen atom and/or sulfur atom; A means a single bond, carbonyl group or group of the formula: , -CO-O-, or -N(R2)CON(R3)SO2N(R4)CO- where R2, R3, R4 are similar or distinct and each means hydrogen atom, alkyl-group with from 1 to 12 carbon atoms or benzyl-group where aryl radical is substituted with substituents β in the amount from 1 to 3; B means a single bond or group of the formula -N(R5)- or -N(R6)N(R5)- where R5 and R6 are similar or distinct and each means hydrogen atom or alkyl-group with from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or R5 in common with R1 and nitrogen atom to which they are bound can form heterocyclic ring containing from 5 to 7 atoms in cycle that can be substituted with one or some substituents taken among of lower alkyl-group and oxo-group and can be condensed also with phenyl ring; or if A means group of the formula -N(R2)CO-, -N(R2)CS, -N(R2)SO2- (where R2 is given above) and B means a single bond then R1 can mean group of the formula -OR7 (where R7 means lower alkyl-group); or if A means group of the formula -N(R2)CON(R3)SO2 (where R2 and R3 are given above) and B means a single bond or A means group of the formula -CO-O- and B means N(R5)- (where R5 is given above) then R1 can mean hydroxy- group or group of the formula -OR7 (where R7 is given above); substituents α are taken among phenyl groups, phenyl groups substituted with substituents β in the amount from 1 to 3 and heterocyclic groups that can be optionally substituted with substituents β in the amount from 1 to 3 and can be condensed with phenyl ring. Indicated heterocyclic groups with 5 or 6 carbon atoms are saturated, unsaturated or aromatic and have one or some heteroatoms taken among nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atoms. Substituents β are taken among lower alkyl- -groups, halogenide lower alkyl-groups, lower alkoxy-groups, hydroxy-groups, carboxy-groups, carbamoyl- groups where nitrogen atom can be substituted and lower alkoxycarbonyl- -groups. Substituents γ are taken among lower alkoxy-groups, lower alkylthio-groups, hydroxy-groups, nitroxy-groups, carboxy-groups, lower alkoxycarbonyl-groups, halogen atoms, sulfo-groups, sulfamoyl-groups and carbamoyl-groups where nitrogen atom can be substituted under condition that if A means group of the formula -CO-O- then B means a single bond and if k = 4 then group of the formula -A-B-R1 is not carboxyl-group, and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts showing ability to enhance activity of glutathione reductase in mammal, in part, in humans and they can be used for treatment and prophylaxis of different diseases including cataract.
