FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly, affinage industries. SUBSTANCE: method comprises selective deposition of palladium from palladium-platinum ammonia solutions with water-soluble xanthagenates. Palladium is deposited at pH of 7.75-8.5, and original solutions are pretreated with hydrogen peroxide at consumption rate of 5.85-8.78 g per 1 g of platinum. Method makes is possible to attain high degree of separation of palladium and platinum and to simplify equipment used. EFFECT: more efficient selective deposition method. 1 tbl
