FIELD: instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and emergency protection of diesel engines used in ship diesel plants. Device has speed meter mounted on engine, speed extremum detector, comparator, check period timer, controlled fuel valve installed in engine fuel main line, check speed and check period setter and START push-button. Output of comparator is connected with inhibit input of controlled fuel valve. First input of comparator is connected to output of setter, and second input, to first output of speed meter. Second output of speed meter is connected with first input of speed extremum detector whose second input is connected to output check period timer, and output, to enable input of controlled fuel valve. Additional output of setter is connected with input of check period timer, and START push-button is connected to enable input of valve and check period timer. EFFECT: improved reliability of control and protection of diesel engine plant from racing at starting. 2 dwg
