FIELD: automotive industry; automobile exhaust systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed exhaust system has intake pipes with flanges and gaskets, compensators, muffler in housing with intake and outlet branch pipes, exhaust pipe and fasteners. Novelty is that cavities in form of craters are made on inner surfaces of intake and outlet pipes, and on their outer surfaces projections in form of tetrahedral pyramids are made. Craters are made mainly in form of spherical segment, opposite sides of pyramids are equal, and vertices of pyramids are uniformly spaced over circumference, vertices of two adjacent craters and pyramids being located on one straight line passing through point of intersection of cross axes of symmetry of pipes and lying on plane perpendicular to their longitudinal axis of symmetry. Reflector-deflector is connected to upper part of intake and exhaust pipes. Reflector-deflector in form of parabolic cylinder is made of heat-reflecting material in form of separate of parabolic cylinder is made of heat-reflecting material in form of separate sections. Longitudinal axes of symmetry of pipes and sections are equidistant over entire length by value of focal distance of parabola and are arranged in one plane. EFFECT: improved efficiency of exhaust system, increased service life, reduced materials usage, increased rigidity and reduced visibility in infra-red waves range. 2 cl, 3 dwg
