FIELD: materials handling and lifting equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tower cranes with long foldable booms. Tower crane has tower with head, root and end sections of boom, uprights, upper and lower braces and load trolley. Boom sections are connected for turning relative to each other. Uprights are hinge-mounted on boom sections and are interconnected and connected with head and end section of boom by tie-rod. Upper and lower braces are connected, respectively, with head and end section and with head and root section of boom. Upper brace is provided with tackle block. Load trolley is installed on boom and is coupled with cable drive including winch and drum. Uprights are installed close to hinge joint connecting root and end sections of boom. Lower brace is furnished with additional tackle block whose cable is connected with cable of upper brace tackle-block. Lower block of lower and upper tackle block are hinge connected, respectively, with root and end sections of boom by means of tie-rods hinge-secured on sections. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of crane by increasing zone of servicing. 2 cl, 4 dwg
