ROAD CROSSOVER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: civil engineering; erection of bridge-type road crossovers above main traffic arteries and interchange stations. SUBSTANCE: road crossover is made as foot-bridge with flights of stairs and constituted by span-forming beams abutting against columns, and has transparent fence lengthwise of bridge over pedestrian area provided over its longitudinal axis. Novelty is that posts joined together by trusses in top parts over bridge length are mounted above span-forming beams of pedestrian area; shop areas are arranged, mainly symmetrically, on both sides of pedestrian area, in most cases there are frames of shops formed by additional columns abutting against main columns and installed on both sides of them; mentioned frames are also bordered by fence preferably curvilinear or broken-line shaped; fence projects through 0.3-1.2 of its height beyond axis of corresponding span-forming beam of shop area above additional columns of span-forming beams of shop area. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities without impairing operating conditions and with provision for optimal changing of road capacity at increase in passenger traffic. 5 cl, 6 dwg
