FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to solid tools meant to drill rocks. It includes holder made of sintered metal carbide anchored on tool and fixed, for instance, by brazing to plate coming in the form of cylindrical disc produced from particles of semicrystalline diamond. Disc has side wall and substantially flat free surface. Plate is so positioned that plane of its flat free surface makes acute angle with normal to surface of mass of rock oriented in same direction as movement of bit. Thus plate contacts rock with its side wall. Such design of bit makes it possible to enhance velocity of rock breaking and increases resistance of tool at same time.
