SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling cutters. Drilling tool cutting element is composed of a diamond insert fitted at the substrate, recess in the diamond insert cutting face recess and shaped element at the substrate interface between said insert and substrate. Said shape element complies with the diamond insert cutting edge recess and comprises the recess in substrate shaped to that in said cutting edge. Note here that at least the part of the recess in substrate is arranged with at least the radial shift outward or inward relative to said cutting edge recess. Saud cutting edge recess can be composed of consumable structure.
EFFECT: efficient distribution of strains caused by cutting forces, better structural integrity, higher wear resistance, longer life.
