FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of polycrystalline diamond cutting tool. It can be used for production of drill bits. First diamond particles are used for form the insert at pressure and temperature sufficient for forming of diamond-type bonds in the presence of catalyst. Thereafter, catalyst is completely therefrom. Insert without catalyst is secured to substrate at pressure and temperature sufficient for maintenance of diamond-type bonds by binder that differs from catalyst material.
EFFECT: high heat resistance.
