FIELD: acceleration engineering; proton synchrotrons. SUBSTANCE: control of charged-particle beam over circumference with increasing intensity of magnetic field is effected on polygon sides. Each polygon side mounts dipole and locking device made in the form of coils building up longitudinal magnetic field. Accelerator implementing proposed method ensures energy of protons higher than 1000 TeV. EFFECT: reduced accelerator size and power requirement. 2 cl, 1 dwg
