FIELD: acceleration equipment, double clashing beam accelerators. SUBSTANCE: method of acceleration on counter-propagating beams includes acceleration and transportation of elementary particles over closed circuits of two contacting acceleration systems. Elementary particles are accelerated and transported in longitudinal magnetic field along sides of polygons. Each side of polygon carries deflecting dipole and compacting facility, each having longitudinal magnetic field, and accelerator. Sides of polygons with opposition-directed orbits are chosen and matched. Deflecting dipoles, compacting facilities and accelerators are connected to power supply sources based on effect of infinite amplification. Accelerator based on counter-propagating beams includes two contacting acceleration systems. Any acceleration system comes in the form of polygon, each side of polygon has deflecting dipole and compacting facility, each having longitudinal magnetic field, and accelerator. Circuit of accelerator includes section of orbits of polygons matched in opposition. EFFECT: potential for development of compact accelerator based on counter-propagating beams. 2 cl, 4 dwg
