FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves studying clinical and social factors causing mycotic fingernail lesions. Risk factors like grave concomitant disease availability, laboratory diagnosis data, patient adherence to administered treatment scheme and terms of visits to physician, quality of patient treatment applied by the physician, age, disease duration, social position of the patient, the number of and the degree the nails are affected by the pathological process are determined. Prognosis coefficients are calculated on computer using the available data. The threshold value of prognosis coefficient sums being equal to 6, the planned treatment result is to be favorable.
