FIELD: automatic control of high voltage rectifying units for energizing electric filter for gas scrubbing by rectified high-voltage electric current. SUBSTANCE: at operation of system " rectifying unit - electric filter" in modes with sharp change of technological parameters of scrubbed gas (dust content, humidity, temperature, specific electric resistance, fraction size of trapped dust and so on) breakdown level of voltage of sedimentation space of electric filter changes in wide range from 15 to 80 kV. In order to hold voltage of electric filter as maximum as possibly, automatic control system provides measuring of mean electric current value and amplitude of breakdown voltage and in depending upon said values it sets voltage drop degree and voltage increase rate after breakdown. High electric current of electric filter corresponds to high voltage drop after breakdown; low electric current value corresponds to low voltage drop. Small voltage amplitude before breakdown corresponds to high rate of voltage increase; high voltage amplitude - to low rate of voltage increase.
