FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed overhead belt conveyor contains tubular guides and brackets with twin running rolls on free ends connected to boards of belt. Each roll consists of chute profile rim installed on axle-shaft for rotation around axle-shaft with radius of rim chute profile corresponding to diameter of tubular guide. Rim of each running roll consists of three members arranged in radial direction. Extreme members rest directly on axle shaft, and middle member rests of ring projections of extreme members coaxially arranged relative to axle-shaft and pointed top each other. Adjacent members are installed with clearances relative to each other. Steel balls are freely fitted over entire perimeter of ring projections in grooves between adjacent members, and space between end faces of ring projections is filled up with renewable grease. Invention makes it possible to improve efficiency of conveyors owing to decrease of friction wear of large number of running rolls at reduction of service expenses for transportation by increasing service life of running rolls and tubular guides, reduction of conveyor down time and energy consumption.
