FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves dry grinding of basic coal preliminarily crushed into particles of at least 3 mm size in rotary vortex-type mill to produce particles of size less than 20 microns; simultaneously with grinding, separating coal from mineral components and providing hydrophobization of coal particles; mixing water with coal particles in hydraulic disperser for producing colloid hydraulic fluid containing at least 70-80 wt.% of solid phase with particles of size less than 5 microns. Method allows coal-water fuel with improved physicomechanical, structural-rheological and thermal properties to be produced. Coal-water fuel is ecologically safe fuel fit for prolonged storage and transportation, which may be combusted in different energy-producing plants, including diesel and gas-turbine plants. EFFECT: increased efficiency, prolonged storage and transportation time.
