PROCESS FOR PREPARING WATER-CARBON SUSPENSION Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: water-carbon suspension is prepared by wet grinding brown coal with water at 30 to 90 C to form hydromixture containing 35-45 % 1-3 mm solid phase fraction, heating it to temperature of 200-300 % at pressure of 1.5-10 MPa throughout the entire volume with high-frequency in superhigh frequency heating reactor at hydromixture feed rate that affords its residence time within the range of said temperatures for 1-30 minutes, cooling the hydromixture to 30-90 C, releasing the pressure to 0.3-1.0 MPa, separating the vapor-gas mixture from the resulting suspension till the final product is obtained, mixing said suspension with original water to heat it to 30-90 C and adding surface active agent. The surface agent is plasticizer C-3 in amount of 0.5-1.0 % based of the weight of the solid phase. The plasticizer is added to the hydromixture after grinding carbon and cooling the hydromixture for second time. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl
