FIELD: hole drilling, directional drilling in anisotropic rocks. SUBSTANCE: diamond drill bit includes body with circular guide and working sectors mounted in guide for movement. Bearing face and side mated surfaces of guide and of each working sector have inclination angle α with respect to longitudinal axis of body. Inclination of mated surfaces of guide and working sector rises in direction of rotation of drill bit. Angle α is calculated from dependence α=arcctg h/L, where h is specified value of movement of working sector towards longitudinal axis of body; L is specified value of movement of working sector in direction opposite to direction of rotation of drill bit. Springy members and fixing arms are positioned between working sectors. EFFECT: usage of proposed diamond drill bit provides for uniform breakage of face, solves problem of reduced distortion of holes. 1 cl, 19 dwg, 1 tbl
