METHOD OF SUPPORTING MINE WORKINGS IN ADJACENT COAL SEAMS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mining; applicable in support of mine workings in adjacent coal seams undergoing influence of mining effect. SUBSTANCE: stope is advanced in mined seam under protected working with advancing from it through distance of at least four caving steps of free- and medium-caving main roof, and at least three steps of caving of different-to-cave seam main roof. Protected working is bolted by bolts of two level relative to their depth of location in boreholes of contour mass. Length of bolts of the first level which are installed during working driving depends on conditions of suspension of unstable part of mass from stable part of mass which is formed round working before temporary supporting pressure of stope of mined seam reaches it. Length of the second level bolts installed not later than beginning of influence of temporary support pressure of stope of mines seam is set depending on conditions of their securing in contour of mass stable part through 0.8-0.9 m. Said stable part of mass is formed above working during the entire service life. EFFECT: higher stability of mine workings in adjacent coal seams undergoing influence of mining effect and reduced expenditures for working support and maintenance. 3 dwg
