FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: a row of holes is drilled from the protected working along its wall from the breakage face side into the roofing. Anchors are installed in the holes, with inserting its locks beyond the rock dispersion contour over the working. Then the second row of holes is drilled next to the first row until the holes enter the abutment pressure zone ahead the breakage face down the dip of the most propagated lateral and longitudinal fractures (if he longitudinal fractures are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the working and are dipping beyond the edge of the seam). In the case that longitudinal fractures are dipping on the excavated area the second hole row is drilled beyond the breakage face in the wall on the side of the excavated area parallel to the lateral fracturing and roofing rocks sliding areas parallel to the protected working. The roofing rocks are weakened beyond the breakage face by means of using the second hole row. The second hole row is drilled between the fractures of the lateral system. EFFECT: increased reliability. 2 cl, 8 dwg
