THERMODYNAMIC CYCLE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND DEVICE FOR EXECUTING THE CYCLE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2167315 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: thermodynamic cycle includes intake of air into one cylinder, compression of air and its delivery into compression and combustion chambers in upper part of second cylinder, injection of fuel into combustion chamber, ignition, combustion and flowing of combustion products into second cylinder with afterburning of fuel owing to delivery of additional air, exhaust of waste gases from second cylinder. Suction and compression of clean air takes place in one cylinder, and expansion and exhaust, in other cylinder. Engine implementing this cycle has two paired cylinders. Combustion of fuel takes place in separate combustion chamber filled with compressed air and enclosed by other chamber with amount of compressed air which can flow into combustion and second cylinder. EFFECT: increased engine efficiency, optimized processes of separate strokes. 12 cl, 1 dwg
