FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of variable-profile leaf spring sheets of thick sheet blanks. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of induction heating of blanks for rolling, rolling blanks between non-driven rolls. Blanks are heated at two stages. Central opening is made after first stage of heating realized by heating central opening zone due to heat transfer from zones of blank subjected to rolling. Intensity of heat transfer is provided due to drawing inductors together. At second heating stage temperature of zones of blank subjected to rolling is increased up to rolling temperature. Rolled blank heated by heat remained after rolling is based with use of central opening on basing rod and then end portions of blank are worked. EFFECT: reduced power consumption, simplified manufacturing cycle. 3 cl, 7 dwg, 1 tbl
