DEVICE AND METHOD OF FOIL FEEDING Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2167798 C2

FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: foil feeding device has feed drum with drive from motor, transport devices and foil consumption pickup installed between feed drum and transport devices to control feed drum motor depending on consumption of foil. Foil consumption pickup-up has at least one stationary deflecting roller, at least one pickup roller and detectors. Pickup rollers is made and installed so that distance from pickup roller to stationary deflecting roller changes in response to difference between feed rate and foil transportation rate. Detectors reveal said change in distance and accelerate rotation of fed drum when distance is less than first preset distance, and decelerate rotation of feed drum when second preset distance is exceeded. Device provides constant tension of foil before transport devices. Invention relates to corresponding foil feeding method. EFFECT: enhanced feeding of foil and its tension. 25 cl, 6 dwg
