FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: needle has oval-shaped shell, cutting edges and sharpened ends. Grooves are running along the whole length and at both sides of ellipsoidal cutting edge. Length of groove is 1/3 the width of flat needle, depth of groove is 1/4 the thickness of needle, and length of sharpened end is 0.58 the length of needle working part. Needle of such construction allows high quality of expensive raw material to be kept and roughness of half-finished product to be reduced.
