PELLETIZER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: production of pellets of pastes of active masses, possibly granulation of powder materials in chemical production. SUBSTANCE: pelletizer includes shaper in the form of apertured disc and supporting disc arranged under apertured disc near its surface and having discharging window; charging hopper with supplying roll arranged over apertured disc; heater in the form of annular sector placed in interval between hopper and discharging window. Openings of apertured disc are in the form of truncated cones enlarging downwards and having in their upper portions cylindrical shaping land whose width consists 0.1-0.2 of thickness value of apertured disc. Relation of thickness of apertured disc to diameter of shaping land consists 0.5-0.83 or 1.2-1.7; conicity angle of openings is 6-10 degrees. Pelletizer provides lowered time period for cleaning apparatus. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, lowered loss of pelletized material. 4 dwg
