FIELD: physico-chemical processes. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improvement of flowability of hydrocarbon stream and to stable, non-agglomerating suspension added to stream. The additive contains water; dispersed therein water-insoluble and oil-soluble noncrystalline superhigh-molecular fine poly-C2-C30-alkene showing intrinsic viscosity at least ca. 20 dl/g; surfactant with hydrophilic-lipophilic balance at least ca. 9 in concentration between approximately 0.05 and 1% based on total weight of suspension; approximately 0.5 to 30% of essentially water-soluble mono- or polyatomic alcohol depicted by general formula R(OH)n, in which R denotes alkyl radical containing from 1 to ca. 6 carbon atoms and n denotes integer from 1 to ca. 4. Fine polyalkylene is prepared by bringing at least one C2-C30-alkene into contact with polymerization catalyst under essentially anaerobic and anhydrous conditions, after which alkene is polymerized at temperature suitable for formation of desired polymer. The latter is cooled to cryogenic temperature and disintegrated to fine state at this temperature, which is below polyalkene vitrification temperature.
