FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: characteristic feature of invention lies in rotation of one race of lubricated bearing with operational speed, in loading of bearing with radial force constant in value whose direction of action is changed in direction of rotation of race first with speed equal to rotational speed of race and then with speed equal to zero. Root-mean-square value of variable component and average value of integral time of electric contact in bearing are measured on each speed and quality of bearing is evaluated by value of square of ratio of root-mean-square value of variable component to average value of specified parameter on each speed of change of direction of action of radial load. EFFECT: increased sensitivity to deviation of real raceways of races of operational bearing from roundness in process of complex evaluation of its quality. 2 dwg
