FIELD: examination and testing of antifriction bearings. SUBSTANCE: installation has drive shaft for arrangement of bearing under test, axial loading mechanism, radial loading mechanism, and mechanism of bearing race misalignment, lever, and hydraulic drive, all mounted on frame. Bearing race misalignment mechanism consists of sleeve mounted in journals in frame coaxially with outer race of bearing under test. Installation is also provided with four wedge-and-plunger gears mounted in sleeve of bearing race misalignment mechanism so that axes of plungers of wedge-and-plunger gears are mutually perpendicular and are arranged in plane of symmetry of bearing outer race perpendicular to its axis. Installation includes four position indicators of tested bearing output race, measuring rods of which engage outer race of bearing under test directly through holes in plungers of wedge-and-plunger gears. This allows more complete simulation of not only operating conditions of bearing within article, but also quality of bearing unit assembly. EFFECT: higher quality of examination. 2 dwg
