FIELD: food-processing industry, agriculture and pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: method involves multiple-staged extraction of beta-carotene from mycelium mass, with following treatment of basic product. Upon separation of beta-carotene crystals, suspension is treated with alkali alcoholic solution with concentration of 40-120 g/l and is additionally washed with alkali alcoholic solution having concentration of 5-10 g/l.
