FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the improved method for separation and purification of indole-3-carbinol (I3C) obtained by reduction of indole-3-aldehyde with sodium boron hydride in alcohol media with following extraction with methylene chloride or ethyl acetate and filtration through bed of aluminium oxide.
EFFECT: invention allows enhancing of the yield and quality of target product.
