FIELD: methods of cleaning of solid surfaces from liquid contaminants; applicable in removal of residues of liquids from vessels and cleaning of equipment and articles from oils, cooling fluids, etc. SUBSTANCE: method includes cleaning of solid surface from liquid contaminants by light beam focused in line and absorbed by liquid or by surface to be cleaned. As a result, local increase of temperature takes place, causing reduction of surface tension in zone of action of light beam. Field of tangential forces is set up on nonuniformly heated free surface. Due to adhesiveness, action of tangential forces cases convective transfer of liquid from heated region to cold one to form thermocapillary depression. Increased powder of light beam results in increased depth of thermocapillary depression. At some critical power, rupture of liquid film takes place. Movement of light beam focused in line parallel to itself leads to cleaning of surface from contaminants. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 4 dwg
