FIELD: mechanical engineering; ignition systems of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed stage is designed for internal combustion engines with Darlington pair. Stage has active transistor T2 and control transistor T1. Collector-emitter section of shorting-out transistor T3 is connected in parallel with base0emitter section of Darlington pair. Darlington pair has internal clamping circuit by means of semiconductor voltage-regulating diode Z1 connected in parallel with collector-emitter section of active transistor T2 of Darlington pair. Control output of shorting-out transistor is connected with collector of Darlington pair through series-connected high-value resistor R3 semiconductor voltage-regulating diode Z2. protective resistor R3 is rated to provide passage of base current of sufficient value for shorting-out transistor T3, at blocking voltage of semiconductor voltage-regulating diode Z2 lying within 20 and 40 V.
