FIELD: means for protection of tanks and other kinds of combat vehicles and equipment against hitting by shells. SUBSTANCE: the armor member has a plate of armor and a rolling solid of revolution. The armor has seats for the rolling solids of revolution that are fixed in them. The plate is made of electrically insulating material or contains electrically insulating material dividing the rolling solids of revolution. The rolling solids of revolution can revolve, and the adjacent rolling solids of revolution are made for connection to the opposite poles of the power source. The armor plate may be provided with a power source placed in a compartment. The power source may be connected to the power mains built up of the power sources of other armor plates. EFFECT: creation of structures of armor members of combat vehicles capable of deflecting or destructing of shells of various types, having methods for additional effects in case the primary effect is insufficient. 3 dwg
