FIELD: railway transport; automatic signaling and communication. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for recording wheelsets of rolling stock. Proposed track pickup has permanent magnet and two magnetically sensitive elements placed in feedback circuit of two generators. Magnetic field lines close through magnetically sensitive elements and zone of passage of wheel flange. PIC controller with self-adapting program and working temperature range from -55C to +125C is provided. It is designed for recording the fact of wheel passing and for forming message indicating direction and speed of movement of train. PIC controller is connected to inputs of two generators. EFFECT: improved reliability of recording of wheelset passage and determination of direction and speed of train movement. 3 dwg
