FIELD: mining industry, fighting endogenic fires. SUBSTANCE: spontaneous heating of coal is characterized by growth of summary amount of vapor and liquid phase in air passed through coal accumulation. Air is passed through drying sorbent, for example, silica gel, to determine quantity of liquid aerosols. Temperature in place of spontaneous heating is found by summary amount of vapor and liquid phase in air coming from coal accumulation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of detection of spontaneous heating of coal, diminished economical damage caused by endogenic fires which leads to increased safety of mining operations. 2 cl
