FIELD: mining industry particularly for preventing endogenous fires during underground coal bed development.
SUBSTANCE: method involves chemical reinforcing coal massif; building insulation covering in combination with roof bolting during shaft drilling within time period corresponding to latent self-ignition time period of coal, wherein insulation covering is made of modified polymer based on cement and polymeric latex; measuring moisture content in air on surface; providing control of moisture content in air at inlet part of air-supply shaft taking into consideration necessary moisture content based on fire safety conditions which is calculated from empirical mathematical equation. Fire risk control in air-supply shaft is also performed in accordance with dynamic of moisture content change in coal massif along shaft length at the depth of 0.5 m. When moisture content reduces up to 20% the shaft part is referred as fire hazardous area. "Tekflex" material is used as insulation material.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of coal massif protection against seasonal heat-transfer properties variations of air, prevention of air leakage along coal post and through coal post.
