FIELD: powder metallurgy, more particularly destruction of chemical weapons. SUBSTANCE: method comprises crystallization which is carried out by pressing amorphous arsenic into block at pressure of 130-2000 ksf/sq.cm using step-by-step heating thereof from room temperature to 500 C, keeping it at 300- 350 C for 15-30 minutes in first stage, and 450-500 C for 15-30; minutes, in second stage. EFFECT: more efficient and simpler process of preparing compact crystalline arsenic.
