FIELD: highway engineering. SUBSTANCE: method used in highway engineering survey at work documentation stage in highway right-of-way involves longitudinal movement of landrover with georadar and satellite positioning system whose function is to determine spatial coordinates and ground- hydrogeological information. Novelty is that georadar is sequentially displaced along route axis and right-of-way borders; acquisition of source information on relief is made in transverse direction only during passing along axis of route which is divided into sections whose length s is determined from equation given in description of invention depending on permissible deviation from route axis and right-of-way width on curvilinear parts of mentioned sections; on rectilinear parts, depending on distance of vision; distance is maintained between two adjacent transversal georadar passes; this distance equals that between two supporting points t and is also determined from equation given in description of invention. Method provides for eliminating errors in designing longitudinal profile using information about spatial location of groundwater surfaces with aid of hydrogeological model of region. EFFECT: improved reliability in calculating scope of excavation work. 1 dwg
