FIELD: determination of level of loose and liquid media in reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: first, thermal resistor is subjected to calibration at indirect heating in gaseous medium and fully immersed in medium under test. During calibration and in determination of level in the course of heating whose duration and amount of energy are similar, successive measurements of electrical resistance are performed at similar intervals of time. Time from beginning of heating till moment of measurement of electrical resistance is constant at calibration and at measuring the level. Statistical series of differences between each two successive measurement of electrical resistance are found and then level is calculated by definite formulae. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of determination of level of loose and liquid media at any temperature difference between air medium and medium under test. 2 cl, 3 dwg
