METHOD OF DETERMINATION OF LEVEL OF LOOSE OR LIQUID MEDIA IN RESERVOIR Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology; check and determination of level of loose and liquid media contained in reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in preliminary calibration of thermal resistor distributed in height of reservoir at indirect heating in gaseous medium and fully immersed in medium under test including measurement of its electric resistance before and after heating. In determination of level of medium, electrical resistance of thermal resistor is additionally measured before its heating. Heating at calibration and in determination of level is performed during similar length of time and at similar magnitude of energy proportional to current; level of medium in reservoir is found by definite formulae. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of determination of level of loose and liquid media at any difference in temperatures of air medium and medium under test. 2 cl, 3 dwg
