FIELD: equipment for nuclear absorption analyses. SUBSTANCE: lamp has bulb with ultraviolet-transmitting window for radiation exit which is translucent in ultraviolet part of spectrum and accommodates coaxially arranged anode, hollow cathode placed in first insulating sleeve, second insulating sleeve placed concentrically relative to first one and tightly fitted to the latter on pin side so that space open on anode side is formed between them. Ratios between hollow-cathode diameter dk, inner diameter d1, and outer diameter d3 of first insulating sleeve, inner diameter d2 of second insulating sleeve, and excess length l1 of second insulating tube over first one placed between hollow cathode and anode meet following equations: . EFFECT: enhanced life of lamp and stability of its characteristics. 2 dwg
