SUBSTANCE: spectral gas-discharge lamp has bulb with radiation-exit uviol glass window transparent in ultraviolet section of spectrum that accommodates anode and hollow cathode placed in insulating tube; the latter has internal discharge surface in the form of cylinder open on radiation exit end and made of material whose spectrum should be obtained; hollow cathode and insulating tube are provided with additional coaxial slits on side surfaces; anode and slits are relatively parallel and have same length equal to length of cathode discharge space.
