FIELD: game animal industry. SUBSTANCE: trap has base, support, guard mechanism and pressing device. Guard mechanism is made in the form of supporting plate resting upon base. Supporting plate has fastening members, retainer and pin carrying movable pedal with catches, which are joined to contact flag through detents. Contact flag is engaged with supporting plate through flag lift restrictor. Animal steps on contact flag causing it to lower. As a result, catch ends are disengaged from contact flag. Pedal is thrown back to extreme position under the weight of pressing device and support is released. Pressing device falls down onto animal to kill it. Trap of such construction may be used for catching different kinds of animals. EFFECT: simplified construction, convenient usage and increased efficiency. 5 cl, 3 dwg
