FIELD: metallurgy; applicable in metal casting. SUBSTANCE: slide gate has mounting frame; movable carriage and refractory plates installed in them; two balance beams with central opening; supporting rollers located on balance beams and engageable with guide protrusions of carriage; posts secured in mounting frame and rods fastened to posts and coming in contact with spring blocks. Refractory plates are pressed to one another by spring blocks installed in arms of balance beams and by spring members in point of installation in mounting frame and carriage. This makes it possible to compensate for plate heat expansion. Mounting frame has spring-loaded stop coming in contact with carriage to reduce dynamic loads onto refractory plates. Balance beams are secured in extreme posts with help of flat stems. Passed through central opening of each balance beam is corresponding post serving as additional rod support to eliminate rod bending. Rollers are located with eccentricity relative to their axes. Rods are oval in cross-section allow regulation of strength of refractory plates contact. EFFECT: higher stability and serviceability of slide gate. 8 dwg, 1 ex
