FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: gate valve contains a body, a carriage with guides (4) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the gate, and a movement mechanism, fixed and movable fireproof plates with holes installed in the body and carriage, respectively, pressed against each other using traverses (7), balancers (8) and support rollers (12). The traverses are levers of the first kind, one arm of which is hinged on the body with the possibility of rotation in a vertical plane, and the second arm is connected to spring blocks (9). The balancers are hinged on traverses with the ability to swing in a vertical plane. Spring blocks are installed on different sides of the longitudinal axis of the shutter. The axis of rotation of the balancers passes through the center of the hole in the fixed refractory plate. Rollers (12), interacting with guides (4), are installed in the balancers on axes located symmetrically to the axis of rotation of the balancers.
EFFECT: invention ensures a controlled, uniform prestressing force on the refractory plates and increases the durability of the valve elements and assemblies, which affect its reliability, and also provides the ability to install gate plates of various thicknesses without removing the valve from the ladle and making any modifications to its design.
