FIELD: devices for extraction of ice from icebergs and preparation of ecologically pure water on board the ship. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes derrick mounted on board the ship with working member for breaking ice mass secured at this end. Derrick is mounted on swivel platform and unit for transportation of ice to hold is made in form of chute mounted under derrick. Derrick and chute are made from several telescopic sections linked together and balancing system; they are provided with bearing shoes fitted on chutes. Rope is pulled inside sections and is reeved through pulleys and is secured on two-drum winch mounted on platform. EFFECT: simplified construction and compactness of extraction equipment. 4 dwg
